This beauty has it all — it was turned, carved, burned and painted with iridescent paints, and it’s gorgeous, if we do say so ourselves! It was an experiment that we have declared a success, so expect to see more in this collection in the future.

Woods used include black walnut, bubinga, and wenge. After turning it on the lathe, Scott then hand-carved the wood, and Ellie did the pyrography to add texture and blacken the area under the iridescent paint, which pops best atop a dark surface.
