This one-of-a-kind bowl was inspired by the beautiful Gemini rose bushes we had back in our Portland, OR, garden.

To create the bowl's, we first cut petal pink, neo-lavendar and light pink striker Bullseye glass into small rectangles which were layered together and fused together into small bricks. The bricks were then set up on edges in a design intended to encourage the glass to flow as it became molten. That created the very organic and petal-like lines in the center, and made it into a unique piece that would be impossible to replicate precisely.

The clear and deep pink outer rings were added afterwards. After coldworking the glass to perfect the edges and details, the glass was slumped into this bowl so the rose glass could be functional as well as beautiful.
